St Brigid’s Well near Liscannor occupies a well-house below a hillside cemetery. Rosaries, remembrance cards and small devotional objects make it a place of personal petition and thanksgiving.

Pilgrims place concerns about illness and family life in Brigid’s care. The well belongs to a local sanctuary with lower and upper prayer stations, rather than being interchangeable with the saint’s better-known sites in Kildare.

Context and lineage
The County Clare Heritage Office preserves a tradition that Brigid stopped here while travelling by chariot toward Connacht. It is an account of the saint’s local presence, not a dated record of the well’s construction.
The heritage inventory records Brigid’s feast on 1 February and another gathering for the Assumption on 15 August. Proposals of earlier seasonal worship remain interpretations rather than a demonstrated foundation history.
