Overview
Yasuzumi Shrine in Takanezawa is associated with prayers for safe childbirth and children’s growth. A large torii, golden guardian figures and an Edo-period main sanctuary give it a distinctive setting. Its public identity also includes motorcycle blessings and a year-end rice offering, beyond its childbirth devotion.

The golden guardian figures were dedicated in 1990 and are attributed to sculptor Kitamura Seibo. These material landmarks provide a grounded way to read a shrine whose prayers encompass several stages and concerns of life.

The shrine maintains a prayer reception and publishes current arrangements on its website. Its year-end offering of a large kagami mochi is a separate calendar observance; do not assume that festival attendance includes a childbirth prayer service.
